The next full-scale evaluation is scheduled for spring of 2013, with a decision on continued accreditation to be made in fall of 2013. The university has institutional accreditation with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, a nationally recognized regional accrediting agency.

Approved Residency Sponsors

CNME approves accredited naturopathic medicine programs to sponsor postdoctoral residency programs in naturopathic medicine. In order to be a CNME-approved sponsor, the program must meet the requirements stated in the Handbook on CNME Postdoctoral Naturopathic Medical Education Sponsor Recognition Process And Standards, (200KB .pdf file) a copy of which can be downloaded from the website. Currently, naturopathic medicine programs at the following three institutions are approved by CNME to sponsor residency programs:

  • Bastyr University;
  • National College of Natural Medicine; and
  • Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences.
